ACCOMMODATION
Ground floor:
Entering the house on the ground floor, the stairs are to your left and straight ahead is the 'library'. This is a delightful room with french doors opening out onto the extensive deck as you can see below, with wonderful views of the estuary, it has a sofa, 2 armchairs, reading light and a log fire. (We need to reline the chimney so the fireplace is out of action at the moment but we hope to have it sorted out by Autumn '09) Bookcases run floor to ceiling either side of the open fireplace and are packed with an extensive selection of paperbacks and also house a TV and video player and a stack of videos and board-games. (We're very happy for you to take any books home that you might be in the middle of, and leave some of your own holiday reading!)

The Laundry room is also on this floor, housing a washing machine, tumble-dryer, sink and drainer, iron and ironing board plus a clothes airer. As this room also houses the central heating boiler, it's a very warm room and ideal for drying walking gear or dive kit. Also contains the fourth loo.
1st floor :
Up the stairs to the first floor and into the 31ft sitting and dining-room - here you will see the most stunning view of the estuary through the 3 sets of french doors leading out on to a south-facing balcony overlooking the pool and gardens.
The sitting room, dining room and kitchen form an L-shape giving a very spacious feel to this area. The solid oak dining table is 2.4m long and easily accommodates 12 people.

The sumptous leather seating area surrounds a solid oak coffee table, and in the corner is a TV and CD/DVD player with USB socket for your MP3/iPod*. We have UK satellite TV so quite a few UK channels are available. (Contact me for a list if you'd like to see what's available) * Please note - the USB socket is only compatible with JPEG/MP3/WMA files although we also have a Universal iPod docking station for your use.
The spotlights and a dimmable uplighter make it a cosy room in the evenings.
At the end of the landing on this floor is a family bathroom with a fabulous jacuzzi bath, shower, bidet and a separate toilet.
Should you feel the need to cook, the kitchen is fully-equipped with a large fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and a huge gas oven with grill, rotisserie spit and a 5-burner hob. The cupboards are filled with plenty of glassware, crockery and cookware and we even have plastic plates and cutlery for the little ones, plus one booster seat. We've found the kitchen to be a very practical layout, particularly as other guests can chat to you from the dining table. Downside to that though - they can see you drop that steak on the floor!
2nd floor:
Moving on upstairs are 4 bedrooms; 3 doubles and a twin. Two of the doubles have washbasins in their rooms, the twin has two full-sized single beds, one of which pulls out from under the other.
Also on this floor is a large family bathroom with a bath and shower and a separate toilet.

3rd floor:
Up another flight of stairs and you're in the loft, there's a toilet on the landing for these 2 bedrooms to share. From this level are found the most spectacular of the views, well not from the loo exactly, but both bedrooms have 2 sets of windows and have far-reaching views around the coast to the open sea and the Bay of Brest.
This is the larger of the two loft rooms having a double bed and a full length single child's bed (2'6") which doubles as additional seating area during the day (shown below) This bright, sunny room also benefits from its own en-suite shower room (shown right)
